The Whale Therapeutic Back Bench

The therapeutic back bench also called the Whale is a elegantly curved profile is a multi use tool. It is designed to stretch and elongate the spine. This great looking tool will rejuvenate and energize your entire body.

The whale is handcrafted out of beautiful hardwood. A bending and laminating process is the result for the light weight yet sturdy design.

Sizes: 1′ w x 2′ h x 5′ l 20 lbs

The whale is light weight yet has a very sturdy design.

It adds warmth to any environment and is attractive enough to be displayed as fine furniture in the home.

I myself love this tool, because it gives you a sense of wellbeing. When you come home after a day of hard work, if it is in the office, factory or performing some other physical task for a living, we are constantly required to bend or hunch forward. After year after year this forced posture begins to take its toll on our backs. Thus that sound familiar?

This tool provides a way to counteract these problems. When you position yourself in a gentle back bend the spine stretches in a way opposite to what we’re a costume to in everyday activities.

Since the weight of the upper and lower body act in opposite directions in the raised back bend position a traction effect is achieved. The combination of these two actions will greatly reduce vertebrae and disc compression and often relieves associated pain and discomfort as well as improving ones appearance.

You can effectively control the intensity of the stretch by moving gently up and down. An adjustable neck and head rest allows you get additional support. It also can be removed if not needed. The headrest can also be placed under the lumbar (lower) spine instead.

Body workers and yoga students will love the way the whale supports their weight. It allows them to focus on opening and releasing specific muscle groups.

An added bonus is also is the energizing and rejuvenating effects. When we extend the spine, we release tightly held muscles. It will increase also increase the blood flow to the brain. The whale often increases our personal sense of well being. Some people even report having less trouble sleeping with regular usage.

That is is for this time wishing you all the best.

Why should we shake the salt habit?

Most of us are addicted to the white stuff. At every meal we have to grab the saltshaker and sprinkle the already salted meal! Most times it is just a bad habit that we grow up with. Don’t forget, it is very important to get enough salt in our daily intake. But did you know, that we get more than enough in the typical foods we eat without adding extra?

One level teaspoon of salt is the recommended intake of sodium a day. That is not very much but it is acceptable for a healthy person. The general rule is 2400 milligram a day.

About 40% of people are salt sensitive as it is. That means, the extra salt will increase the fluids in your body, including the amount of blood. Just think about what that those to your body! It makes your heart pump harder, that will raise your blood pressure and the risk of a heart attack and stroke. Did you know, that your salt sensitivity will increase with age.

I think it would be a good idea to start checking the labels when we go to the store more often.

It would be a good thing to cut down with the convenience foods. I’m sure not many of us like that thought, because of our busy lives. It is just easier to put a frozen dinner in to the microwave, after a very long day in the office. But in the long run you do yourself a favor if you look after yourself a little bit better.

That is it for this time. Till next time all the best.

If you know a little bit more about it feel free to comment on it.

Don’t take this with a grain of salt.

Wellness

Hello, Today we take a closer look at Wellness.
Wellness is to live a balanced life. These days we have so much on our plates, from our family, to children, work, hobbies, friends and so many other things.
It is very important to be in good mental and physical health.
Setting aside time for yourself, to clear your mind and meditate would be a good start to a better future. Also physical fitness is one item on top of the list. There is always The fitness club, but for people that would like to go an other direction, there is always Yoga, Tai Chi and many other courses you can take to get the same result.
Also, if someone works in the office or performs physical tasks, we are preforming always the same movements.
After a wile the back, neck and sometimes the hips start to give us problems.
Not a nice picture, but most of the time we do nothing about it and hope that it will go away by itself.
If you would know how to solve those little problems, before they are getting bigger, would you do something about it?
It would be a good idea. Think about herbs and therapeutic massages, or accupuncture. Or you can go to my website and take a look at the many wellness products that will help ease your pains.
There is also the healthy eating subject. These days, we have more fast food restaurants in our neighborhoods. We sometimes forget to eat the healthy way. More salads and fruits and maybe take some vitamin supplements.
Till next time all the best.

Meditation

Hello, today we take a closer look at the meditation process. First of all we have to learn to relax the body and the mind. Meditation is a way of exercising mental control. If we can relax at will, the mind can see beyond the minor frustrations and the intensity of our daily life. It is possible to meditate in any position. Sitting an a chair or sofa, on the floor or even standing. The most important part is, that you are comfortable, just make sure you don’t fall asleep.
Choose a convenient time and a quiet place. Our minds love routine, so just heading to a quiet place at a preplanned time and sitting there for a few minutes , breading quietly and calming our thoughts, counts as a meditation session. Like everything else, it takes time and has to start somewhere.
The first sessions should last about 10 minutes. The first couple of minutes should be spent concentrating on breading steadily and rhythmically. Encourage a pleasant feeling of relaxation and peacefulness. The next step is to focus your mind on one single thought. The difference between relaxation and meditation is, that during the meditation process the mind remains aware of your body. It focuses all its energy on one nonphysical object. I the beginning it may be impossible to focus you mind for more the a couple of seconds, before something else comes to your mind. Like i said before, everything takes time and practice.
End each session with concentrating on the breading. The deeper the concentration, the more relaxed your body will be. Meditation leaves you mind feeling positive and tranquil. So, put some time aside for this practice. It is important to dedicate some time just for yourself. Till next time i wish you all the best.
